The InnoMaDE project, a significant Erasmus+ initiative aimed at fostering creativity and digital skills in Europe, recently featured an innovative presentation on the Turkish Dictionary Game at its conference. The presentation, titled "Word Game Example with Gamification Method: Turkish Dictionary Game," highlighted the game's unique approach to enhancing vocabulary learning through gamification.
Developed by educators, the Turkish Dictionary Game is designed as a high-quality, safe, and free resource for preschool and primary school children. The app includes 11 educational games focusing on developing attention, visual-spatial, and mathematics skills. Each game is designed with simple screens and a user-friendly interface, tailored to the pedagogical needs of young learners. Notably, the app does not require users to provide personal information, does not collect user data, and is completely free with no in-app purchases. Performance in the games is tracked through game points, with success displayed in a stacked bar chart in the main menu, allowing users to monitor progress both on individual games and overall.
The InnoMaDE project, supported by the Turkish National Agency and the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism, brings together three partners from Denmark and Turkey. These partners include experts from research universities, creative business networks, and museums, all working collaboratively to enhance innovation in the cultural and educational sectors. The inclusion of the Turkish Dictionary Game in this prestigious project underscores its potential to contribute significantly to the advancement of educational technologies in the digital age.
